The county fairs are where most Hudson Valley customers met us: the gator and kangaroo bags on the table, samples first, then a box to take home. Between fairs, the same bags ship from Albany.

The fairs
The Dutchess County Fair at the fairgrounds in Rhinebeck is the biggest week on our calendar and a confirmed stop in past years; the Ulster County Fair at the fairgrounds in New Paltz is the other Hudson Valley fair on the schedule. Both are listed on the events page with the dates we expect for 2027, marked to confirm until the fair boards publish them. At a fair the whole table is out, all 26 bags, and the exotics go first: the bison jerky is the one we hand to people who say exotic is not for them.
What people take home from the fair
The fair buy is usually a mixed box: a gator, a bison, a sweet garlic or a prime rib, and something hot for the person who asked for it. The same picks fit the box builder, where three bags are $70 instead of $75, and heat is marked on every bag so nobody takes the Carolina Reaper home by mistake. Ordering from Poughkeepsie, Kingston or New Paltz
Rhinebeck is about 65 miles south of Albany down Route 9 or the Taconic, so a Hudson Valley order is a short USPS hop. Online orders ship USPS from Albany, usually within two business days, with free shipping on orders of $100 or more. Within the Northeast most packages arrive in 2 to 5 business days. There is no storefront at either end; the fairs and this site are the two ways to buy.
