Shipping & Returns

We ship jerky, which means we think about heat, time in transit and what happens if a bag arrives wrong. Here is the policy in plain language.

Cost

$7.99 for the first bag and $2 for each additional bag in the same order.

Free shipping on orders of $100 or more.

Carrier and delivery window

Orders ship from Albany, New York by USPS in a padded mailer bag.

Most orders leave within 2 business days and arrive in 2 to 5 business days inside the Northeast, 3 to 7 elsewhere in the continental US. TO CONFIRM WITH JOSEPH: handling time.

We do not currently ship outside the United States.

Hot-weather handling

Jerky is shelf-stable and vacuum packed, so it does not need ice. In July and August we still avoid shipping on Fridays so a package never sits in a hot truck or on a porch over a weekend. If your order is placed Thursday afternoon in peak summer, it leaves Monday.

Please get the package inside the day it arrives. A sealed bag in a hot mailbox is fine for a day; a week is not.

Damaged or wrong items

If a bag arrives torn, unsealed or not what you ordered, send a photo to us within 7 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund it, your choice. No need to ship it back.

Returns

Because this is food, we cannot accept returns of opened bags. Unopened bags can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the product price; return shipping is on the buyer unless we made the mistake.

If you simply did not like a flavor, tell us. We would rather know than not, and we will often point you to the bag you should have ordered.

Events and local pickup

There is no storefront and no local pickup at the Albany address. If you are nearby, the Where To Find Us page lists the fairs and shows where you can buy in person and skip shipping altogether.
