Exotic Jerky Shipped to Syracuse and Central New York
Syracuse asks us the same question every year: are you at the State Fair? Not yet. Until the table makes it to Geddes, Central New York gets the mail-order version, and from Albany that is a two-to-three-day trip up the Thruway in a USPS truck.
- ~145 mi: Albany to Syracuse
- 2–3 days: typical USPS transit
- 8: exotic meats
- $100+: free shipping
The State Fair question
The Great New York State Fair in Geddes is the biggest fair in the state and the one Syracuse people assume a jerky table would be at. Jerky Hut NY is not on the vendor list for it, and we will not say we are until it is signed; when a Central New York show is confirmed it goes on the events page with directions and an add-to-calendar button. In the meantime the same bags that sell out at the Dutchess County Fair ship to Syracuse in a padded USPS mailer.
Oneida Lake, Skaneateles and the Oswego salmon run
Central New York fishes hard: walleye on Oneida, lakers on Skaneateles, and the September salmon run on the Oswego and Salmon rivers that fills every motel in Pulaski. The bag for a drift boat is a 7 oz Settlers brisket, Peppered Brisket or Korean BBQ Brisket, because it reseals and nobody has to touch a cooler. For the person on the boat who wants to try something, alligator is the one, and the what alligator jerky tastes like guide answers the first question before they open it.
Ordering from Syracuse, Oswego, Auburn or Cortland
No storefront, no pickup; this is a shipping business with a fair-season table. Online orders ship USPS from Albany, usually within two business days, with free shipping on orders of $100 or more. Within the Northeast most packages arrive in 2 to 5 business days. A single bag is $25 and the 3-pack bundle is $70, which is the easiest way to put an exotic next to two beef bags on one order. For a Syracuse tailgate the how much jerky for a party guide does the math per person.

Questions
Is Jerky Hut NY at the New York State Fair?
No. We are not a State Fair vendor and will not list it until a contract is signed. Confirmed shows appear on the events page.
How long does shipping take to Syracuse?
Orders usually leave Albany within two business days and reach Syracuse-area addresses in two to three more by USPS. Free shipping starts at $100.
Where can I buy alligator or kangaroo jerky in Syracuse?
Online from Jerky Hut NY. We have not found a Central New York store or table that carries gator, kangaroo or elk jerky; ours are 3 oz vacuum packs from the Whiskey Hill Trophy Series.
Do you ship to Oswego or Pulaski during the salmon run?
Yes, to any USPS address. Order a week ahead of the trip and ship it to the house or the rental, not the river.
