Big-Bag Beef Jerky: 7 and 8 oz Bags for $25, Not a Snack Bag

Most jerky is sold in a 2 or 3 oz bag that is gone before the end of the drive. Ours are 7 ounces (Settlers) and 8 ounces (Jerky Hut) for $25, which works out to $3.13 to $3.57 an ounce when the big national brands are closer to $5 to $9. Nobody here is pretending that a $25 bag is cheap. It is just a lot more jerky than you are used to getting for the money.

16 beef flavors, from the crowd-pleasers (sweet garlic, prime rib, whiskey BBQ, hickory) through the four Settlers briskets and the teriyaki family, up to ghost pepper, Chernobyl and the Carolina Reaper for people who mean it. Brisket is a richer cut than the round most jerky is sliced from, which is why brisket jerky chews softer. Pick three as a pack and pay $70 instead of $75.

Seven to eight ounces. Not a snack bag.
