What Does Kangaroo Jerky Taste Like?
Dark, dense and very lean, with a clean and slightly sweet finish from the brown sugar and honey cure. Kangaroo is one of the leanest red meats there is, and the jerky tastes like exactly that: very good, very lean jerky.
Texture
Because there is almost no fat, the slices are firm and dense. Thick cut keeps them tender; this is not a crumbly jerky.
Flavor
Mild and clean. Some people pick up a faint sweetness in the meat itself beyond the cure. No gaminess.
Who it is for
Lean-protein people, and anyone who wants the bag no one else at the party has had.
What it is not
- Not gamey or strong.
- Not fatty.
- Not hot.
