Where to Buy Exotic Jerky in New York: Gator, Kangaroo, Elk and Bison
Two ways: order it from this site, which ships USPS from Albany, or find the Jerky Hut NY table at a fair, rally or sportsman show. Exotic jerky is a specialty product; most of the country has to travel to Florida or Louisiana for half of these meats, and we have not found another table in the Capital Region with gator, kangaroo or elk on it.
What counts as exotic here
Eight meats: alligator, bison, elk, venison, wild boar, kangaroo, smoked duck breast and ahi tuna. Seven of them are Whiskey Hill Smokehouse Trophy Series bags, 3 oz, vacuum packed, labeled gluten-free with no fillers; the tuna is a 7 oz Settlers bag. Every one is $25. The whole lineup is the exotic wild game collection, and each meat has its own page explaining what it tastes like, starting with the one almost everyone tries first, alligator jerky.
Buying it in person
The table travels. In the Capital Region it is the Flower and Garden Expo at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy each spring. In the Hudson Valley it is the Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck and the Ulster County Fair in New Paltz. Up north it is Americade in Lake George and the Adirondack Balloon Festival in Queensbury, and through the winter it is the fishing and sportsman shows in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Jersey. Dates and directions live on the events page; the Albany and Capital Region page covers the home turf in detail.
Buying it online
Everything on the table ships. Pick bags one at a time on the shop page, or build a bundle in the box builder, where three bags are $70 and the Exotic Four preset is gator, elk, venison and bison in one order. Shipping is $7.99 for the first bag plus $2 each additional, free over $100, and orders leave Albany within about two business days. There is no storefront; the Albany address is where the boxes get packed.
